Walkie-talkie app on tough phones
Zello, set up and run for your business
Zello is a push-to-talk app used by millions of workers. We run it for your business on phones built for the job: set up, handed over ready to use, and looked after from there.
Short answer
What is Zello, in plain English?
Zello turns a phone into a walkie-talkie. Press the button, speak, and everyone on that channel hears you right away. If your team already carries phones, this is often the simplest way to start. We handle the accounts, set up the channels, supply tough phones that survive a drop, and answer the phone when something needs changing.

Zello Work
What Zello Work gives your team
A private, managed push-to-talk network with the messaging, location and administration tools business operations expect.
Zello Dispatch Hub
Give dispatch a better view of the operation
Desktop dispatch complements the radios in the field. A dispatcher can answer one person directly instead of pushing every exchange through the shared channel.

These are available options rather than standard inclusions. We will tell you which ones your plan covers before you buy.

Questions
Managed Zello questions, answered
Short, direct answers to what buyers ask us most about running Zello Work as a managed service.
What is Managed Zello?
Managed Zello is Zello Work delivered as a complete service. Integrated Radio provides the licensing, network and channel design, rugged devices, data connectivity, MDM and provisioning, then administers the fleet on an ongoing basis.
Is this the same Zello used on smartphones?
It is the same underlying push-to-talk experience, but Zello Work is the business product: a private network you control, with central administration, role-based controls and business support rather than public channels.
What is Zello Work?
Zello Work is Zello business offering: a private managed push-to-talk network with channels, messaging, location, message history and a web-based Management Console for administering users and policies.
Why buy Managed Zello instead of buying Zello directly?
Buying licenses is the easy part. Managed Zello also covers device supply, SIMs and data service, MDM enrollment, app and PTT configuration, channel architecture, user administration and ongoing changes, so you have one provider accountable for the whole deployment.
Are radios included?
Rugged Sonim devices can be supplied as part of the deployment. Hardware is quoted separately from licensing, so you can see what each component costs.
What Sonim devices do you support?
We deploy the Sonim XP5plus for teams that primarily need voice, and the Sonim XP10 for users who need Zello alongside other Android business applications.
Do devices include cellular service?
Devices can be delivered with an activated data SIM and wireless service as part of the managed offering. The specific plan is defined during quoting.
Does Integrated Radio manage the devices?
Yes. Devices can arrive MDM-enrolled with Zello installed and configured, policies applied, Wi-Fi set up, PTT keys mapped and the Zello identity already assigned.
Can users also run Zello on smartphones?
Yes. Zello Work runs on Android and iOS, so office staff or supervisors can use their own phones on the same network as the rugged devices in the field.
Can I use Zello on Wi-Fi?
Yes. Zello works over Wi-Fi as well as cellular data, which helps inside warehouses, hotels and other buildings with strong wireless coverage.
Can Zello connect to existing two-way radios?
Integration with existing two-way radio systems is available through supported bridge and gateway options. We assess compatibility against your specific radio environment first.
Does Zello have GPS tracking?
Zello provides live location for supported users. Historical breadcrumb trails and traffic-enhanced mapping are available through Premium Maps, which is a plan-dependent add-on.
Can Zello record or archive communications?
Message history and replay are part of the core product. Longer-term cloud archival with search, playback and export is provided by Message Vault, an available add-on.
Are emergency alerts available?
Emergency Alerts, including emergency location and audio capture, are available with selected Zello plans and add-ons rather than in every subscription.
Can we add or remove users?
Yes. Adds, removals and reassignments are routine change requests we handle as part of the managed service, and licensing adjusts with the fleet.
Can dispatch communicate with individual users?
Yes. Through Zello Dispatch Hub a dispatcher can respond to one user privately as well as talk to a whole channel, which keeps routine traffic off the shared channel.
Not sure which one fits your team?
Managed PTToC may be the better fit if your crews want a purpose-built radio in the hand, vehicle terminals, or tighter integration with an existing LMR system.
