Where it fits, and how it arrives
The IR-60Y is the everyday handheld for teams that work across more than one channel: front desk and back of house in a hotel, a distribution center with separate dock and floor groups, a school campus with facilities and security on different talk groups, or a security team that switches between site and control channels. The monochrome display shows the current channel, the caller and remaining battery, which is enough to stop the wrong-channel calls that plague screen-free radios on busy sites, without adding anything that needs training. Physically it is the same IP54-rated body as the IR-65Y, so the two mix freely in one fleet.
Most IR-60Y deployments pair a few units per department with a dispatch screen in the office, so a manager can see and reach every group from a browser. Units arrive charged, labeled and already grouped, with charger, battery, belt clip and antenna in the box and the high-capacity 5,200 mAh battery available for long shifts. Adding a talk group or moving a radio between departments is a remote change handled by us, not a reprogramming visit.
