On a site where the radio gets handed to a different person every shift, the fastest device to train someone on is the one with nothing to learn. It runs on the same managed service and the same channels as every other radio in the fleet.

Where it fits, and how it arrives
The IR-65Y suits any crew where the radio changes hands often and nobody has time to learn a menu: housekeeping and banquet staff, warehouse pickers, event stewards, grounds and maintenance crews, and construction laborers on a single talk group. If your people currently share a bag of cheap consumer walkie-talkies and complain about range, this is the direct replacement. It runs on cellular and Wi-Fi rather than line-of-sight, so the same unit reaches across a campus, between buildings or into the next county without a repeater. Supervisors who need to see who is calling should look at the IR-60Y or IR-350 instead.
A typical order is a set of IR-65Y handhelds pre-assigned to one or two talk groups, delivered charged and labeled so they can go straight onto a shift board. Each unit ships with its charger, battery, belt clip and antenna; the 5,200 mAh battery option is worth specifying for 12-hour shifts. Because there is no screen, all channel and user changes are made remotely by us rather than on the device, which is exactly what most single-channel teams want.
